The festival of Ram Navami is celebrated every year on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. According to the Gregorian calendar, Ram Navami in the year 2024 will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. On this day, Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram was born in Ayodhya.
Importance of Ram Navami
According to Hindu mythology, on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the controller of creation, was born in the house of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya. Because of which every year the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ram.

Ramnavmi puja method
1. On the day of Ram Navami, wake up early and observe fast considering Lord Shri Ram as your deity.
2 After this, take bath and clean the puja place and collect the puja materials. Like flowers, goods, kumkum, sandalwood and prasad etc.
3. During the auspicious time of Ram Navami, perform water anointment of the idol of Lord Rama.
4. After this recite Sunderkand, Hanuman Chalisa
5. After Abhishek, complete the puja by doing Aarti of Lord Ram and distribute Prasad.
